

The 39th Legislative District includes Oak Park north of Washington Boulevard, River Forest north of Iowa Street, much of the Austin and Galewood neighborhoods in the City of Chicago (including parts of the 28th, 29th, 36th, and 37th Wards), most of Melrose Park, Stone Park, and part of Berkeley in Proviso Township, Elmwood Park, River Grove, Franklin Park, Schiller Park, Northlake, and most of Rosemont in Leyden Township, part of Bensenville in DuPage County, and a portion Chicago's 41st Ward which contains O'Hare International Airport.
The 39th Legislative District includes both the 77th and 78th House Districts. The 77th House District, currently represented by Rep. Angelo "Skip" Saviano (R-Elmwood Park), consists of the Leyden Township and DuPage County portions of the 39th Legislative District, as well as O'Hare Airport. The 78th House District, currently represented by Rep. Camille Lilly (D-Chicago), includes the Austin and Galwood neigborhoods of Chicago, and the Oak Park, River Forest, and Proviso township portions of the 39th Legislative District.
NOTE: Redistricting of Illinois legislative districts was completed in the Spring 2011 session and signed into law by Governor Pat Quinn. The current 39th District above remains in effect until the 98th General Assembly is seated in January 2013.
